Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans sometimes change. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for kiddush sponsorships and hall rentals at Tiferes Freida.

Kiddush sponsorships

Once a Basic Kiddush or Simcha Kiddush package has been paid for, the shul begins ordering food, coordinating with vendors, and reserving the date.

  • 7 or more days before the Shabbos: Full refund available.
  • Less than 7 days before the Shabbos: Refunds are not generally available, as food and labor have already been committed. Please reach out to the office in such a case.

Hall rentals

Hall rentals require a 50% deposit to reserve the date. The remaining 50% is due before the event.

  • 30 or more days before the event: Deposit is fully refundable.
  • Less than 30 days before the event: Please speak to the office about any refunds, as the date has been held and other potential bookings turned away.

We will always try to be flexible and accommodate genuine emergencies. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact the office as early as possible.

Card payment refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original card via Sola Payments and typically post within 5–10 business days. Check-based refunds are issued as new checks mailed to the address on file and may take 2–3 weeks to arrive.

Disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact the shul office at [email protected] before filing a card dispute. We will work with you directly to resolve any issues.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
