Khal Zidichov Chodorov ("the shul," "we," or "us") operates tiferesfreida.org. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and how it is protected.
What we collect
When you submit a Kiddush sponsorship, hall rental request, party planner form, or payment, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number
- The details of your submission (date, package, food choices, dedication message, notes, etc.)
- Payment information necessary to complete a transaction
When you simply browse the site, we collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics, including pages visited, approximate location, device type, and how you arrived at the site. This data does not personally identify you.
Card data and payments
Credit card information is captured directly by Sola Payments using a secure, PCI-compliant iframe. Your full card number, CVV, and expiration are sent directly from your browser to Sola — they never touch our servers and we never store them. We only receive a transaction reference number, a masked card number (last 4 digits), and the card type.
How we use your information
- To process your submission and coordinate your event
- To send you confirmation emails and follow-up communications about your booking
- To maintain records of past sponsorships and rentals
- To improve the website (via anonymous Google Analytics data)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers.
Where your information is stored
Submissions are stored in our Airtable database (operated by Airtable, Inc.). Confirmation emails are sent via Resend (Resend Inc.). Payments are processed by Sola Payments. Anonymous traffic data is processed by Google Analytics. Each of these providers has its own privacy and security practices.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser to understand how visitors use the site. These cookies do not contain personal information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use an ad blocker to prevent analytics tracking.
We also use your browser's local storage on some pages (such as the Virtual Party Planner) to save your in-progress form so you can return later. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using HTTPS for all site traffic, restricting access to our Airtable database, and relying on PCI-compliant providers for payments. However, no system is perfectly secure. If you suspect any unauthorized access to your information, please contact us immediately.
Children
The site is intended for adults coordinating simchas. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date.
